Semi Permanent Makeup For North Wales Brides
by Lorna Roythorne-Du Ross 22 Feb, 2023
I love hearing all about wedding plans, colours, flowers, venues etc. It truly fills my hear after working in wedding for a number of years previously. BUT, there are a couple of things to consider if you're thinking of having any Semi- Permanent Makeup before you walk down the aisle. Let's take brows as an example.... Following your treatment your brows will go through a 4-6 week healing process in which time they will go darker, almost completely fade and then settle. At this time you will be having your top up and then they'll need to heal and settle again. This process takes 8- 12 weeks. I book my appointments a few weeks in advance and so you need to be thinking about your wedding Microblading around 4 months before. For Semi- Permanent Eyeliner and Lip Blush treatments, I'd recommend 5 months before to allow time for the healing process. So add these dates to your wedding planner now and get the best for your big day from RDR Microblading and Semi- Permanent Makeup In North Wales.
North Wales Microblading

Microblading and Semi- Permanent Makeup is a treatment that is carried out on your face and so should be taken extremely seriously. At the time of writing this, thankfully the legislation surrounding qualifications, licensing etc is changing and making barriers to entry much tighter for artisits. I LOVE this and have been part of this legislation change through consultation with government. The industry can be confusing and make it hard to know who is good, who is reputable and who isn't. So here is a quick guide on 3 things to look for when choosing your SPMU Artist. 1. Qualification & Licensing: It's important to make sure that your artist is qualified, insured and has a premises license from their local council. Any reputable artist would be more than happy to show you all of the above. 2. Pictures & Reviews: Take a look at their before and after pictures. Do you like the pictures? Do you like their style? Make sure you like what you see, not every artist will be right for you. You need to choose someone who is going to give you what suits your style. Do they have reviews from real clients that you can read? 3. Consultation & Patch Testing: The consultation is so important. It's a chance to make sure that your treatment choice is right for you, to get your medical history and to talk you through the treatment. DO NOT EVER AGREE TO A SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP TREATMENT WITHOUT A PATCH TEST. Even if you've had it previously, a reaction can occur at any point. If you are offered a treatment without a patch test, please, please, please do not go ahead. Any reputable artist would only carry out your treatment after a through consultation and patch test. I hope these 3 quick and easy things to look out for help you to sort the great artists from the not so great. I see a lot of lovely ladies, who's main concern about having Microblading is that they're going to end up with a huge set of brows that don't suit their face. Although, I completely understand where this concern comes from, you can rest assured that no 2 sets of brows are the same. Each set of brows is bespoke and measured to the face that they go on. In fact, the longest part of the whole procedure is 'the drawing stage.' At this part of the appointment, I spend a lot of time measuring your features, discussing your natural brows, what you'd like and working in sync with your face. Once I'm happy with the shape and it measures perfectly, I'll show you the shape we discussed and have created. When we're both happy, I will then and only then begin the Microblading. There is no need for you to have concerns about getting brows that don't fit your face, as not only will they be made for your face, you'll get to approve them before we even start!
